Cebu City Schools Launch "Basura Namo, Kaugmaon Nato" Waste Diversion Program

Two Cebu City public schools—Talamban National High School and Lahug National High School (Night)—officially launched the "Basura Namo, Kaugmaon Nato" waste diversion program on July 20, expanding an initiative that began with a successful pilot at Talamban Elementary School. The student-led program strengthens waste segregation and recycling while positioning schools as models of environmental stewardship, with the city government purchasing properly segregated waste and crediting proceeds to class sections by weight collected.
