Government response to Mindanao earthquake and flash flood disaster

Cabinet Secretary Benhur Abalos and other government secretaries visited families affected by a 7.8-magnitude earthquake and subsequent flash floods in Jose Abad Santos, Davao Occidental on Monday, assuring government assistance to victims. The disaster resulted in multiple casualties and was triggered by a deadly earthquake followed by flash floods caused by Super Typhoon Inday's southwest monsoon on July 10.
