Mount Apo has been closed from June to August 2026 to ensure public safety during the peak rainy season when hazardous weather conditions pose significant risks to climbers. The closure aims to prevent accidents and injuries from flooding, landslides, and extreme weather conditions typical of the monsoon period in Mindanao.
