The Office of the Ombudsman stated it has not received Senator Robinhood Padilla's reply to an obstruction of justice complaint regarding his alleged role in Senator Ronald "Bato" Dela Rosa's escape, despite Padilla claiming he submitted a counter-affidavit on July 9. The investigation involves allegations that Padilla coordinated Dela Rosa's transport from the Senate premises in May after an armed standoff, with the CIDG concluding it was a "highly coordinated, preplanned logistical maneuver" rather than a casual ride.
