Philippines-Vietnam elevated to strategic partnership

President Marcos and Vietnamese President Tô Lâm elevated their bilateral ties to an enhanced strategic partnership during a meeting at Malacañang, emphasizing wider cooperation, stronger political and defense ties, and closer people-to-people linkages. Both leaders reaffirmed their shared commitment to peaceful resolution of South China Sea disputes based on international law, including UNCLOS and the 2016 arbitral award.
