Mandaue City Solid Waste Management Education Ordinance Approved

The Mandaue City Council approved an ordinance mandating annual appropriations of at least P5 million for a Basic Education Solid Waste Management Program in all DepEd schools, which integrates waste management education into public school curricula. The program, developed through a memorandum of agreement between Mandaue City and DepEd, teaches students principles of reducing, reusing, and recycling to instill proper waste management habits from an early age.
