Davao Light franchise expansion to Davao del Norte province

Davao Light and Power Co. Inc. defended its authority to operate in Davao del Norte province, citing Republic Act No. 12144 which expanded its franchise and recent Supreme Court validation. The company assumed electricity distribution services in Tagum City and three municipalities on May 26, with writs of possession issued by regional trial courts, and warned against unauthorized individuals conducting electrical operations in the area.
