PMFTC dominates Philippine tobacco leaf market supporting farmer livelihoods

PMFTC Inc. (Philip Morris Philippines) remains the country's largest buyer of Philippine-grown tobacco, purchasing 8.297 million kilograms (69% of total supply) in 2025, reaffirming its commitment to support thousands of local farmers' livelihoods. The National Tobacco Administration welcomes PMFTC's continued investment and has urged farmers to expand production and begin planting earlier to minimize El Niño impacts while capitalizing on favorable market conditions.
