Manila Water expands renewable energy adoption through retail aggregation progra

Manila Water has expanded its transition to renewable energy sources under the ERC's enhanced retail aggregation program (RAP), with 47 facilities under Meralco and six facilities under FLECO now sourcing 100-percent renewable electricity. The initiative demonstrates successful industry-regulator collaboration and allows Manila Water to secure more stable and competitive power sources, reducing operational costs and protecting customers from volatile electricity rates while maintaining reliable water service delivery.
