LGUs implement revised child protection protocols across Cebu Province

Local government units across Cebu Province formally adopted the Revised Protocol for Case Management of Child Victims of Abuse, Neglect, Exploitation, and Discrimination, with a provincial launch led by DOJ Secretary Fredderick Vida emphasizing child protection as a government priority. The revised protocol provides a systematic framework integrating newer child protection laws including provisions on sexual consent age and online sexual exploitation, with all LGUs directed to institutionalize the updated protocols and strengthen referral systems for effective implementation.
