Benguet vegetable glut and highland farmer rescue-buy initiative

A rescue-buy initiative called Project UBBO in Atok town, Benguet has enabled 146 farmers to sell nearly 80,000 kilos of vegetables during a prolonged price crash in the highland vegetable market. The program addresses fair farm-gate pricing concerns while highlighting the need for long-term reforms in the agricultural sector to support highland vegetable farmers.
