Ombudsman receives Blue Ribbon report on multibillion-peso flood control corrupt

The Office of the Ombudsman received a partial Senate Blue Ribbon committee report on a multibillion-peso flood control corruption scheme, with recommendations to file charges against Senators Francis Escudero, Jinggoy Estrada, and Joel Villanueva, along with former House Speaker Martin Romualdez and other government officials. Senator Panfilo Lacson presented the findings through a privilege speech to bypass legislative deadlock and establish an official record for the Department of Justice and Ombudsman to pursue investigations into the anomalous infrastructure projects.
